1. Can we expect rains during the trek?

    Sudden showers are expected, always carry a light rain coat or water proof windcheater/poncho.


  2. Do you provide toilet tents? Is it necessary to dig catholes?

    There is no civilization or buildings on the treks. No concrete toilets are available. Women will have toilet tents. Being environment friendly and hygienic, going outside for nature calls and making cat holes is encouraged.


  3. Are smoking and drinking permitted on the trek?

    Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited on the trek. You can watch this video to understand why alcohol is a big NO at high altitude.


  4. Are accommodation for men and women separate?

    Yes, men and women will not be sharing tents, unless in arctic tents.


  5. What is the source of drinking water? Is it safe to drink?

    Water source is natural streams, rivers and water springs in the mountains and it is safe to drink.


  6. Is there a doctor accompanying us on the trek?

    There are no doctors on the trek but your trek leaders are trained first aiders. A full-fledged first aid kit will always be with the team.


  7. Which type of shoes should I buy?

    Good Trekking shoes are most important on trek, don’t go for sports shoes you must be thinking lets save the money and go for sports shoes it works but not properly. Than while trekking there are many problems with sports shoes no grip, blisters, frost bite. Never ever buy any shoes of Woodland for trekking.


  8. How big are the groups?

    We try to bring together a small group of likeminded people to give them a memorable and insightful travel experience, normally we take 15 - 20 people in one batch including male and female. We need minimum 6 people to run a fix departure but for the customized trip group size doesn’t matter.


  9. I am the only girl in the trek is it safe?

    Yes definitely, Security of girls is the foremost important for us. We always create friendly environment on trek. All our guides and other support crew are carefully chosen for your trips. They are very honest and reliable, but we would also advise you to take care of your own personal belongings.


  10. Can you customize a trip?

    Yes, if you would like to travel independently, you are invited to choose any of the trips at your convenient time frame for any number of people. Cost for private trip is fixed on the basis of group size, trek area, duration and trek style.


  11. What kind of food do you provide?

    Alpine Climbers uses a well-planned menu suitable for high altitude treks. Breakfast varies from bread and butter, semia, poha to sandwiches and cornflakes. Lunch mainly comprises of roti or puri with sabzi. Dinner is complete with Dal, rice, roti and dessert. Dry ration of biscuits and chikki will be provided as well. You may carry nuts and dry fruits if necessary.
